JOB TITLE: Billing Manager
LOCATION: Remote and/or Onsite

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversees and manages the company accounts team, to include offshore vendors.
- Oversees and manages the preparation of claims and invoices, and reconciliation of account balances with charge and invoice validation.
- Reviews and monitors company account aging data to ensure timely follow-up of accounts.
- Reporting of any anomalies or areas of concern to the Director of RCM.
- Works with the sales team to address essential elements of contracts/agreements and/or areas of concern.
- Works with cash/payment, posting/reporting team to ensure that company account payments are posted correctly and in a timely manner, and that any exceptions are addressed expediently.
- Oversee the work of special projects and evaluate internal processes to ensure SimonMed is receiving maximum and timely reimbursement.
- Duties include but are not limited to: Assigning and evaluating production of staff assignments, handling escalated account inquiries, reviewing and authorizing refunds or adjustments to company accounts, regular reporting to the executive team, employee training and scheduled employee reviews.
- Manage staff to identify issues and implement plans to improve revenue.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures related to revenue cycle management.
- Development and collaboration with other departments related to training tips, policy updates, and procedures related to RCM processes.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Demonstrates competency in the performance of job-related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services while providing excellent customer service.
- Utilizes and operates equipment and mechanical devices which provide for a functional, effective, and safe environment.
- Adheres to policies, procedures, and guidelines relative to departmental operations.
- Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
- Imagine Certified Enterprise Expert (ICEE) Certification (preferred)
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in revenue cycle management required, radiology preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience on the Imagine Billing platform, preferred.
- Imagine Billing Contract module experience, preferred.
- Must have knowledge of HIPAA guidelines, experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as experience in research and data analysis.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, payers, patients, and the public and be capable of establishing good working relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Must be proficient in telephone etiquette.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking.
