Operations Supervisor

Job Summary

The Shift supervisor, oversees and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating machines that process (screen, sort, separate, and bale) recyclable materials.

Major Job Responsibilities

• Observes sorting, equipment operation, processing and packaging operations for conformance to company’s specifications
• Review production schedules and confer with supervisor staff to plan shift operation
• Assign duties to workers according to production schedules and demonstrate safe and efficient use of equipment
• Inspect machinery and equipment to verify conformance to production standards; prepare time, attendance and production reports
• Run, schedule and ensure all metrics are being met on a daily basis
• Delegate and monitor workers in completion of tasks and schedules
• Lead process and/or quality teams on improving work flow and quality
• Perform other duties as assigned
  
  

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Physical ability to perform heavy labor
• Mechanical aptitude
