The Shift supervisor, oversees and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating machines that process (screen, sort, separate, and bale) recyclable materials.

Job Summary

Major Job Responsibilities
- Observes sorting, equipment operation, processing and packaging operations for conformance to company’s specifications
- Review production schedules and confer with supervisor staff to plan shift operation
- Assign duties to workers according to production schedules and demonstrate safe and efficient use of equipment
- Inspect machinery and equipment to verify conformance to production standards; prepare time, attendance and production reports
- Run, schedule and ensure all metrics are being met on a daily basis
- Delegate and monitor workers in completion of tasks and schedules
- Lead process and/or quality teams on improving work flow and quality
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Physical ability to perform heavy labor
- Mechanical aptitude
