We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior HR Generalist to join our HR team. This role will involve a blend of employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and payroll/benefits management, with the opportunity to play a key role in internal business functions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in HR systems, process improvements, and staff development, while ensuring the company’s HR operations are aligned with compliance and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Work closely with hiring managers to identify personnel needs and assist in sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, interview scheduling, and preparation of job offers.
- Conduct new hire orientations and ensure new hires complete necessary compliance training within the required timeframe.
Employee Relations & Compliance:
- Maintain employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with government regulations.
- Conduct regular self-audits to ensure accuracy in employee data and process adherence.
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters and support with performance management and disciplinary actions.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulatory changes, ensuring policies and processes are updated as needed.
Payroll & Benefits Management:
- Process payroll for weekly and biweekly cycles, ensuring accurate reporting and deductions.
- Oversee employee benefits, including health insurance, 401k plans, and leave of absence requests (FMLA, parental leave, etc.).
- Manage 401k compliance and reporting, ACA tracking, and benefits audits.
Project Management & Staff Development:
- Lead projects that improve HR systems, streamline workflows, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee productivity and engagement.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering professional development and retention.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in HR, with a strong understanding of HR operations, employee relations, payroll, and benefits management.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (UKG Pro experience is considered an asset), and experience managing recruitment processes and compliance training.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and best practices in payroll, benefits, and HR compliance.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
