Purpose of the Position
Client's OTO is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill Business Process Consultant roles under the IT Staff Augmentation Services State Term Contract. These consultants will be instrumental in providing technical expertise and strategic process improvements across various departmental programs.
The Business Process Consultant will have:
- Minimum of 7 years of IT experience
- At least 4 years of experience in process engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management
- Perform in-depth systems process analysis and design
- Develop and implement new processes to increase operational efficiency
- Identify process gaps, define performance measures, and recommend improvements
- Provide strategic guidance to leadership regarding technology and process optimization
- Align process solutions with short and long-term program goals
- Assist in planning and prioritizing process engineering activities
- Ensure defined processes are communicated clearly and support business understanding
- Integrate business unit goals with overall department objectives
Required Technical Skills & Certifications
- Process Improvement Certification: e.g., Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, or equivalent
- Proven experience and proficiency in process improvement methodologies like Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.
- Strong experience with business process modeling and process mapping tools such as:
- Microsoft Visio
- Lucidchart
- BPMN-compliant tools (e.g., Bizagi, ARIS)
- Ability to analyze business inefficiencies and identify bottlenecks effectively
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated leadership and motivational capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with regulatory standards relevant to corrections and government agencies such as:
- HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)
- CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) Security Standards
- Experience designing business processes that comply with industry-specific regulations
Additional Requirements
- Designated as “essential staff” and must report for duty during emergencies as per F.A.C. 33-208.002(4)
- Must complete the Department’s Security Awareness Training within 30 days of hire
- Must pass a Level II Background Check
