What You’ll Do:
As our HR Generalist, you’ll collaborate with Senior HR Directors and Payroll Managers to oversee benefits administration, recruitment, employee relations, and compliance. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor, guiding managers and employees through HR processes, while ensuring our organization remains compliant with employment laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the go-to resource for employee relations, helping resolve concerns and supporting morale
- Manage recruitment efforts, from posting jobs to conducting interviews and onboarding
- Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and workers' compensation
- Maintain HR files, databases, and compliance with policies and labor laws
- Support employees through open enrollment, benefits consultations, and more
- Build strong relationships with managers across regions and provide HR support on the ground
- Travel or locations in the region twice a year
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- 5 years of HR Generalist experience, with knowledge of multi-state employment laws
- 3 year of previous progressive discipline experience
- Understanding of FMLA and ADA processes
- 1 year of recruitment experience
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
- Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
- HRIS experience (Office 365 proficiency preferred)
- A passion for making a difference and a willingness to engage with our mission and values
Preferred:
- Experience in long-term care, non-profit, or religious organizations
- PHR or CP certification
- Familiarity with the traditions of the Sisters of Mercy and the Catholic Church
