Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various substrates, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of coating processes, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary.
- Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns and curing ovens.
- Apply powder coatings evenly and consistently to achieve desired finishes.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Troubleshoot any issues with the coating process or equipment as they arise.
Working Conditions:
- This position is located in a non-air-conditioned shop environment.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds overhead multiple times throughout the day.
- Requires constant standing and walking for 8 hours per shift.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
