Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Provide support, supervision and execution for all food and beverage related events

· Knowledge of the principles and procedures needed to executing all events
· Ability to follow all BEO instructions at all designated locations at the Country Club
· Good organizational and communication skills
· Ability to direct staff during an event and assign duties and responsibilities
· Knowledge of the principals, procedures and equipment used in the storage, care, preparation, cooking, dispensing and serving food in large quantities.
· Ability to teach staff to assure all standards of service are met.
· Knowledge of the set up and serving of wine, beer and spirits
· Ability to demonstrate the ability to serve a table and perform proper wine service during a banquet
· Knowledge and ability to perform other required roles within the food and beverage department during emergency situations
· Knowledge and ability to use the Jonas POS system
· Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays and split shifts
Job Duties/Responsibilities
· Treat all members and guests in a courteous manor and follow the code of conduct established by Skaneateles Country Club.
· Greet Members and Guests.
· Assists the Events Director with all events in any way needed during an event.
· Enforces the club’s rules, regulations and policies.
· Assures that all local and state laws and the club’s policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed.
· Able to work independently the majority of your shift and completing the work in the scheduled time provided.
· Attend and/or directs all pre-service meetings prior to an event.
· Follow event time lines.
· Accurately describes appetizers, entrees, desserts, wines and alcoholic beverages being served at an event.
· Coordinates food service between the kitchen and service staff.
· Works with the Executive Chef and Event Services Supervisor when executing all food from the kitchen to the dining room or other designated event locations.
· Coordinates any special requests including dietary needs with the Executive Chef.
· Completes function setups on time prior to the start of a scheduled event.
· Inspects all room and table set up for proper appearance.
· Inspects all food and beverage stations for accuracy in accordance with the BEO.
· Must have the ability to direct/lead event food and beverage services to assure correct meals are served in accordance with the BEO.
· Assigns daily set up and break down assignments to the banquet servers and assured all duties and responsibilities are performed accurately and in the designated time allowed.
· Inspect and or set up escort card stations.
· Direct guests to their assigned tables.
· Assists with training new employees.
· Accurately answers guests’ questions regarding the food and beverages being served at an event.
· Reports any employees who is insubordinate or is not following the code of conduct to the Events Director or the Dining Room Manager who will assess the need for disciplinary action and implement discipline if needed.
· Reports all member and guest issues to the Events Director or Dining Room Manager.
· Review weekly banquet event packet.
· Review scheduling for banquets and take questions or suggestions to the Events Director or the Dining Room Manager.
· Assists with audio-visual equipment as needed.
· Maintains an inventory of all banquet equipment.
· Reports broken or damaged equipment to the Events Director.
· Assists with function décor.
· Provides layout and design recommendations to the Events Director and Event Services Supervisor.
· Works with the Events Services Supervisor to assure all set up is accurate.
· Suggests décor for themed events.
· Suggests when additional service supplies and small equipment are needed.
· Works with the Housekeeping Staff to ensure that all areas, front and back of house, are clean and organized at all times.
· Assist housekeeping with bathroom checks during a function.
· Assists food servers and bartenders in any way needed.
· Act as a dining room server, banquet server, dining room lead server, bartender, and halfway house attendant as needed.
· Directs the banquet staff with the execution of all events on the golf course including the halfway house and the point.
· Assists with maintain all linens.
· Assists with all set up, table clearing and breakdown of all events.
· Maintains all rental equipment to assure it re-packaged for return to the rental company.
· Must stay until the completion of an event unless other arrangement have been made with the Events Director
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 55 per week
