What are the responsibilities and job description for the Collections Manager position at SKF Property Management LLC?
SKF Property Management is seeking a results driven candidate to join our team as a collections manager. The ideal candidate would be responsible for reducing delinquent rent payments from our residents, as well as clearing up bad debts and assisting with the voucher recertification process. This candidate must have the ability to plan, execute and follow up with residents and city agencies throughout each process and until rent arrears are recouped by landlord.
*must have strong written and verbal communication skills
*must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
*must be willing and able to travel to multiple buildings throughout the Bronx when necessary
*must be proficient in Microsoft office (excel, word, outlook, calendar)
*must have some experience in accounting, accounts receivable, collections, & book keeping.
*must be detail oriented, efficient, a team player & a self starter. Must be organized and have strong follow up skills
*must be flexible, able to work in a team setting & able to multi task
*own vehicle is a plus
*knowledge of yardi voyager & MIQ is a plus
-respond to resident inquiries related to billings and collections; including but not limited to ledgers, legal case status.
-generate monthly rent invoices and rent demands. Checks for accuracy before distributing.
-resolve inquiries related to tenant arrears with HRA, DSS, NYCHA, HPD etc. Assist tenants with applying for public assistance / rental assistance
-assist tenant with applications to clear up back rent; including but not limited to HRA voucher renewals, HPD s8 & Nycha s8 voucher renewals.
-followup with residents via phone, email, and in person
-assist property manager with legal cases
-perform receivables analysis. Tracks and monitors all monthly subsidy payments; generates reports as necessary.
Salary : $25 - $28
