Direct Support Professional - Community/Client Home Based Services

Become a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with Skill Creations, Inc., a nonprofit agency helping people with disabilities meet their personal goals.
Pay Rate: $16-$20/hr depending on services provided.
Job Description:
The DSP is responsible for various duties related to overall support and care for individuals receiving services. We serve individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury, and secondary mental health needs.
The DSP works in the individual’s home and/or in a community setting, providing care according to the specific needs and goals of the individuals.
This care may include:
- personal care
- behavioral support
- medication administration
- job coaching and assistance
- community engagement
- independent living skills
- opportunities for communication and recreation/leisure respite for primary caregivers
- - taking on all care for short periods of time

Haywood County
Hours:
Part time and/or respite hours available.
Full time staff members (30 scheduled hours per week) are offered a benefits package that includes Health, Dental and Life Insurance, holiday pay, paid time off and 401K.
