Description :
Participates in design, development and implementation of systems engineering activities, to include technical support, systems programming, and data center capabilities. Responsible for components of complex engineering and / or analytical tasks and activities. Assists in establishment of input / output processes and working parameters for hardware compatibility and coordination of subsystems design and integration of total system. Serves as a fully seasoned / proficient technical resource; provides tech knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor. Initial assignment will be implementation of PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and administer PostgreSQL, including dependencies, in a Linux environment, in a highly available, clustered configuration.
- Build and maintain scripting / tooling / configuration to integrate PostgreSQL with internal auth and logging services.
- Maintain documentation, scripting and / or tooling supporting environment synchronization.
- Act as a consultant on a range of related technologies in a subject matter expert role.
- Develop software or system scripts to simplify or eliminate the dependence on human intervention for recurring tasks.
- Provide documentation to support configuration processes and procedures.
- Engage as a subject matter expert (SME) in Incident triage efforts, failure scenario modelling and work with Problem Manager to diagnose root causes for incident / problem management investigations.
- Work with Production Support teams to perform knowledge transfer, playbook updates and training for new monitoring capabilities.
