B2B Communications and Social Media Manager

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

PR & Communications:

• Collaborate with the Head of Brand and Digital Communications to develop and execute comprehensive PR and social media strategies that enhance brand awareness, generate qualified leads, and support overall business objectives.
• Draft various company announcements, including press releases, personnel updates, new initiatives, and executive leadership changes, for review and approval.
• Support the marketing leadership team in developing and executing communication plans, events, and materials that align with company initiatives and key industry milestones.
• Manage media inquiries and coordinate interviews with executives and subject matter experts.
• Review content for grammar, punctuation, and consistency with Skyline’s brand voice, style, and format.
• Cultivate relationships with editorial teams, pitch story ideas and bylined articles, and secure earned media placements in key industry publications, online platforms, and podcasts.
• Maintain and update website content and oversee the corporate blog content calendar.
• Work with external photographers and videographers to acquire and incorporate high-quality images and footage into digital tools, social channels, and sales materials. Secure proper client sign-offs for usage.
• Draft and distribute client success stories, placing them in targeted industry publications.
• Partner with the SEO and marketing teams to secure backlinks that enhance website performance.

Marketing Communications (Internal & External):

• Assist in the creation and execution of marketing and branding collateral.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling content, including blog posts, white papers, and webinars.
• Ensure all content aligns with brand messaging and SEO best practices.
• Develop and maintain a content calendar for marketing initiatives.
• Work closely with the business development team on external email campaigns and lead-generation efforts.

Social Media Management:

• Manage and grow Skyline’s social media presence, with a focus on LinkedIn and Instagram.
• Create and curate engaging B2B content tailored for each platform.
• Resize and optimize branded images for social media under the direction of the Brand Designer.
• Plan and execute paid social media campaigns to expand brand reach and drive lead generation.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• 5 years of experience in corporate communications, marketing communications, or PR in a B2B environment (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field (preferred).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
• Extensive knowledge of social media platforms and content strategy for B2B audiences.
• Familiarity with AI content generation tools to enhance efficiency while maintaining Skyline’s brand integrity.
• Proven track record of securing earned media placements and industry awards.
• Experience following the AP Style Guide.
• High energy, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to instructions, timelines, and best practices.
