SkyWater Search has partnered with a PE-backed consumer goods manufactuer in the Minneapolis area to find and hire their next Director of IT. This hire will be responsible for leading the overall technology strategy, infrastructure, and systems that support the business’s continued growth and innovation. This leadership role will oversee a technical team, work closely with executive teams, business units, and key stakeholders to ensure our IT operations are scalable, secure, and aligned with the company’s long-term goals.

To be a fit, we are targeting a candidate with a deep understanding of people management, infrastructure, ERP systems, cybersecurity, and business-driven IT strategies. This role is going to be responsible for assessing the current systems and technology, and recommending approaches on how to mature the environment moving forward. Ideally, this person has been reasonably close to the technology within the past few years and is familiar with best practices when it comes to technology processes and procedures.

We are only considering Minnesota-based candidates at this time as this company is working within a hybrid schedule onsite at their facility in the Metro area.

This position is full-time, and cannot offer any sponsorship at this time.

Responsibilities

• Hire & Lead a team while promoting a culture of growth
• Work in conjunction with Senior Leadership team to improve products and overall process
• Oversee the management and optimization of IT infrastructure, including networks, systems
• Maintain and optimize enterprise software solutions, including ERP, CRM, and other key business systems
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure the best technology solutions
• Bring a positive, mental attitude to the organization
  
  

Desired Skills And Experience

• 4 year technical degree, Master's preferred
• 10 years of progressive professional experience, including 4 years in people management
• Experience with modern systems, networking, and ERP applications
• Experience with cybersecurity and related audits & governance
• Local to Minnesota
• Cannot require sponsorship
