What You’ll Do
- Understand client business objectives and design portfolio management strategies that effectively drive tangible business benefits.
- Conduct analysis and assessment of client portfolios to identify areas for optimization and alignment with business priorities.
- Develop and implement portfolio governance structures to ensure strategic alignment and effective decision-making processes.
- Create and execute improvement plans for portfolio performance, adapting strategies to fit client-specific environments and challenges.
- Mentor clients on portfolio management best practices, deliver independently, participate as a team member, or lead teams of less experienced consultants and/or clients to ensure successful portfolio delivery.
- Design and conduct readiness assessments for portfolio initiatives, evaluate results, and present findings in a clear and logical manner.
- Quickly build client knowledge and credibility by managing diverse portfolios, with projects varying in length from a few weeks to over a year.
- Manage the production of portfolio deliverables, monitor budgets, and prepare presentations for client personnel and leadership, ensuring alignment with portfolio priorities.
- 3 years of experience leading projects in a consulting environment, including projects with 5 people, over 2,500 labor hours, or budgets exceeding $500,000.
- Training in formal process, organization, change, and/or learning improvement methodologies at an enterprise-level client or employer.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with technologies such as cloud, low-code platforms, intelligent process automation, robotic process automation, or GenAI.
- Proficiency in Agile delivery methods (Scrum, SAFe, etc.).
- A track record of mentoring or teaching others in process, organization, change, and/or learning improvement methodologies.
- Strong logical and analytical problem-solving skills with a rigorous approach to project management for delivering enterprise-level projects.
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent Agile certifications

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For the Senior Consultant position the base salary pay range is $110,000 to $171,000 and the targeted base salary range is $110,000 to $155,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. Salary : $110,000 - $171,000
