The Opportunity:
We are seeking a proactive, adaptable, and relationship-driven individual to join our team as the Executive and Operational Support Associate. This role will serve as the right-hand partner to the CEO and Principal, ensuring that our school operations run smoothly while fostering meaningful connections with families and community members. You will play a vital role in shaping the systems and culture that define Sledge Institute, and your work will reflect our mission of educational excellence and community impact.
Your Role:Executive Support
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and Principal, managing calendars, scheduling, and facilitating smooth communication across all areas of the organization.
- Prepare high-quality materials for meetings, presentations, and communications, always with the authentic voice and mission of Sledge Institute.
- Provide logistical support for events, travel, and key initiatives, keeping everything organized and on track.
Operations and Data Management
- Oversee daily operations, from office management to vendor coordination, ensuring all systems are effective and aligned with our strategic goals.
- Develop and optimize administrative processes to enhance organizational efficiency and productivity.
- Manage essential data systems, including tracking and analyzing data to inform operational decisions, student outcomes, and community engagement.
- Collaborate with the Finance and Operations Committee to support projects, reporting, and compliance requirements.
Community Engagement and Public Relations
- Be a welcoming and engaging representative for Sledge Institute, building relationships with families, community organizations, and partners.
- Proactively communicate with families to keep them informed and connected, embodying our values of transparency and inclusivity.
- Represent Sledge Institute at community events, coordinating outreach efforts to strengthen our regional presence and impact.
- Support the planning and execution of school events that reflect our commitment to collaboration and student-centered learning.
Special Projects and Initiatives
- Lead or assist with strategic projects that advance the mission and vision of Sledge Institute, working cross-functionally to achieve meaningful outcomes.
- Engage with diverse stakeholders to drive initiatives that make a lasting impact on our school community.
Performs other duties as assigned.
- A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, public relations, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in roles involving executive support, operations, or community engagement, with a proven track record of managing complex projects and relationships.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a keen attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities with precision and grace.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for building authentic connections and articulating ideas clearly.
- Ability to receive feedback and direction while also demonstrating initiative as a self-starter.
- Proficiency with data management and reporting tools, plus comfort with technology to streamline processes.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, with a passion for working collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in education or nonprofit organizations, especially in rural or community-focused settings.
- Knowledge of competency-based learning, project-based learning, or similar educational frameworks.
- High emotional intelligence and an ability to navigate diverse cultural contexts with empathy and respect.
- Stamina and energy for a start-up environment, with a knack for creating processes, systems, and standard operating procedures.
- A commitment to continuous learning and growth, both personally and professionally.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities.
Working Conditions:
- This is a full-time, in-office position with some flexibility for remote work and occasional evening or weekend commitments for community events.
- Travel may be required to represent Sledge Institute or support community engagement efforts.
