Role Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Vice President of IT Sales to lead and expand our IT and Managed Services Provider (MSP) sales team. This senior leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a proven ability to drive revenue growth, build strong client relationships, and manage high-performing sales teams across key verticals, including Staffing, Entertainment, Legal, and MSP.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the IT and MSP sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Drive business development initiatives to expand our client base and strengthen existing relationships.
  • Oversee sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance tracking through Salesforce.com.

Client Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Actively engage with key clients, attending meetings with the sales team to strengthen relationships.
  • Identify client needs and align SmartSource’s technology solutions to add value to their business.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by managing and resolving client concerns proactively.

Sales Process & Performance Management

  • Implement and refine sales strategies, processes, and best practices to maximize efficiency and revenue.
  • Provide coaching and training to enhance the team’s selling capabilities and overall performance.
  • Monitor sales metrics, including revenue, pricing strategies, and discounting, ensuring financial goals are met.
  • Effectively communicate sales goals and progress to C-level executives.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A proactive, goal-oriented mindset with a passion for driving success.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, balancing long-term vision with hands-on execution.
  • Deep understanding of IT solutions, managed services, and industry trends.
  • 3 years of proven B2B IT sales leadership experience, with a strong track record in sales management.
  • 5 years of individual contributor experience, consistently exceeding quota in IT sales.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com and strong analytical skills for sales forecasting and reporting.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and drive results.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
