The anticipated salary range for this role is between $24.00 and $26.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. Role Description
BCDAD is a Division of SMBC which is primarily responsible for back office operations, and partners with the operations of group companies in the planning and management of operational initiatives in the Americas Division. BCDAD has five groups which provide Loan Servicing, Asset Based Financing, Securitizations, Money Transfer and Deposit Operations, Treasury Operations, Enterprise Content Governance and Anti-Fraud Operations. Additionally, the division supports research and development / feasibility of new product offerings and strategic business initiatives required by the Americas Division and or Head Office in partnership with other areas including IT, Compliance and Market facing teams.
The Intern will be assigned to a team and will support transaction processing business activities or in the planning, monitoring and delivery of projects throughout various stages of the project lifecycle. Reports to the supervisor assigned within the department.
Role Responsibilities
1 Provides support on key projects and analysis.
2 Assists with daily tasks, meetings and presentations.
3 Attend stakeholder interview sessions and document the discussion and results.
4 Assist with the implementation of special projects and initiatives across all operations verticals and other areas.
Qualifications and Skills
1 Ability to effectively manage various tasks concurrently.
2 Understands who the client is and what the client’s needs are; provides realistic expectations.
3 Attention to detail but ability to see the big picture
4 Working knowledge of MS Office suite of applications
5 Information Technology and general knowledge of basic financial accounting
6 Strong research and analytical skills
