Co-op Position for SME

About SME Co-op Program

The SME Co-op program is designed to provide students with valuable hands-on experience in the construction industry. As a co-op participant, you will gain exposure to real-world projects and work closely with experienced professionals.

No minimum number of years of college education is required to apply for our Co-op program.

Our Summer Internships are only available to those who have previously completed a Co-op with SME.

Key Responsibilities

• Support field construction quality control activities by reviewing project plans and documents.
• Evaluate and assess project materials to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Work collaboratively with SME Team Members and contractors to achieve project goals.

Tech Skills Required

• Basic computer literacy: Our co-ops must be comfortable using computers and software essential for in-field work, company communications, and report generation.
• A good driving record and ability to lift and carry equipment and samples weighing up to 50-60 pounds.
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, and/or kneel for long periods.
• Valid driver's license and experience driving in the U.S.
