The ISE Exchange Student Programs is seeking an enthusiastic and outgoing individual to join their South Dakota Area Representative team. This unique freelance position offers the perfect blend of flexibility and cultural adventure. Imagine spending 40% of your role in the comfort of your own home, coordinating and planning, while the remaining 60% is dedicated to engaging with your local community recruiting volunteer host families for ISE's August arriving high school exchange students.
You'll have the opportunity to meet new people, share experiences, and make a tangible global impact right from your local neighborhood. This role is perfect for those who have a passion for cultural exchange,and love to earn free international travel.
Our students:
ISE exchange students come from over 60 countries, are aged 14-18, and are thoroughly prepared to integrate into their volunteer host families while attending the nearest public high school for an academic school year. They bring their own spending money and have full medical insurance, and are ready to become a participating member of their American host family. Our hosts are volunteer and provide bed, food and loving support throughout the academic year homestay.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Engage with Schools and Communities: Collaborate with local high schools to enroll exchange students and emphasize the value of positive cultural diversity in education.
- Recruit Host Families: This program focuses on recruiting and screening host families to house and guide an international student. Area Representatives are provided with comprehensive online training and receive continuous support from an experienced regional manager.
- Provide Ongoing Support: To ensure a successful homestay, the Area Representative maintains regular monthly communication through phone calls and in-person visits. This support helps address any concerns promptly and enhances the overall homestay and school experience for all parties involved.
