The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional service while managing various administrative tasks. The Dental Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth patient experience from scheduling appointments to handling insurance verification.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process.
- Schedule and confirm appointments using Dentrix software.
- Handle phone systems efficiently, responding to inquiries and directing calls as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with ICD-9 coding standards.
- Process medical billing and insurance verification for patient accounts.
- Assist in managing office operations, including inventory management and supply ordering.
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing concerns and answering questions regarding treatments or procedures.
- Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks related to patient information and billing.
Experience
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar administrative role is preferred.
- or similar dental practice management software is highly desirable.
- processes, insurance verification, and ICD-9 coding is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with patients and staff.
