- Field Visits: Travel to various client locations, including cultivation sites, dispensaries, and manufacturing facilities, to collect cannabis samples.
- Compliance: Ensure all sample collections are conducted in accordance with state regulations and company SOPs, maintaining a strict chain of custody.
- Documentation: Accurately document all sample details, including location, time of collection, and client information, using mobile data entry systems.
- Sample Integrity: Handle all samples with care to prevent contamination, degradation, or loss of integrity.
- Client Interaction: Serve as a professional representative of the lab, providing excellent customer service and answering any questions clients may have regarding the sampling process.
- Transport: Safely transport collected samples back to the lab, ensuring that all samples are stored and labeled properly during transit.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed reports on each collection trip, including any observations or issues encountered during the process.
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect, clean, and maintain all field sampling equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Scheduling: Coordinate with the Field Operations Manager to schedule and prioritize sampling trips based on client needs and lab capacity.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Biology, Environmental Science) is preferred.
- Experience:
- Prior experience in a field technician role, particularly in a regulated industry, is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with cannabis industry regulations and compliance is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficient with mobile data entry and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
