SMV Recruiting is actively looking for two Dispatchers to work for our client onsite in Cicero, NY on either 1st or 2nd shift. The ideal candidates will have 5-10 years of experience dispatching coupled with 5-10 years of manufacturing experience along with the ability to multitask and work in a fast pace environment. In this role you will manage 53 drivers with a team of 5 employees and ensure all product is delivered properly and in a timely manner to various stops along the East coast. Responsibilities :
- Oversee 53 employees who drive various trucks to various different routes along the East coast
- Quickly determine new routes for drivers to take as needed especially relating to weather, road closing, etc.
- Ensure deliveries are completed on time and accurate for every customer
- Respond to emergencies including repairs quickly, if needed
- Manage the back haul business portion and all co packing
- Ensure all drivers follow traffic laws and DOT rules and other related regulations
- Utilize other deliveries services in emergencies
- Contact vendors, customers, drivers and team members as needed to provide updates on situations
