Position:
We are seeking experienced educators to join our seasonal STEAM instructor team at Snapology. All materials and lesson plans are provided to you for classes designed for children aged 3-14. We provide paid training and support to ensure your success in this role. Class typically runs 1 hour per day at schools or other partner locations. Secure your schedule with Snapology today!
Role & Responsibilities:
· Lead groups of up to 20 students through curriculum-guided activities
· Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
· Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
· Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the information to adjust teaching strategies
· Adequately prepare for each program by reading the curriculum, watching training videos, and participating in face-to-face training sessions
· Handle inquiries from parents and partners regarding Snapology programs
· Encourage students & parents to enroll students in future Snapology programs
· Participate in periodic Snapology training & staff meetings, as required
Qualifications:
· Ability to pass background check and obtain child safety clearances
· 2 or more years of experience working with groups of children in a classroom or camp environment
· Education degree or teaching experience preferred
· Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
Programs:
· Weekday after-school and/or evening classes
· Weekend workshops and/or birthday parties
· Special events, holidays, and school-break workshops
This position is part-time. Depending on candidate availability and the time of year.
After School Instructors typically work between 2-6 hours per week.
Lead Instructors/Assistant Managers typically work up to 20 hours per week.
Camp Instructors typically work between 3-7 hours per day, up to 40 hours per camp week during peak season.
