The selected candidate will join our team at SNI Companies, working closely with a Business Services company in Middlesex County, NJ. The role involves full-time on-site work, assisting the accounting team with various tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage check requests and ensure accurate processing.
- Process weekly California Tax payments and collaborate with the team for any audit requirements.
- Handle Stop Payments on payroll checks and address banking inquiries.
- Investigate and resolve returned items from bank partners.
- Analyze credit card transactions and prepare expense reports.
- Provide detailed transaction analysis and explanations as needed.
- Use financial systems to track debits/credits and maintain accurate documentation.
- Process drawdown requests and manage monthly commissions.
- Update SUTA rates in the accounting system.
- Support month-end preparation, processing, closing, and reporting.
- Process EFT transactions and check requests.
- Additional tasks may be assigned based on management's needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Accounting or Finance (desired).
- Up to 1 year of experience in similar accounting positions.
- Understanding of financial accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and basic accounting functions.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
