Snider-Blake Personnel is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager for a direct-hire position based out of Easton, PA area
The Purchasing Manager will help drive efficiency, maintain quality standards, and optimize inventory levels to support production goals.
9:00am-5:30pm
Pay Range: $65,000-$75,000
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and execute comprehensive procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-efficient acquisition of materials and supplies needed for production
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions while fostering long-term relationships
- Partner with the production team to optimize inventory levels, ensuring an uninterrupted flow of materials while minimizing excess or shortage.
- Work closely with production teams to forecast material needs based on production timelines and schedules, ensuring material availability and readiness.
- Inventory Monitoring
- Monitor supplier performance, conduct regular assessments, and ensure compliance with quality standards to maintain high production standards.
- Market Analysis
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, contracts, supplier information, and inventory levels to ensure full traceability and compliance.
- Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely processing and accuracy.
- Lead initiatives for cost savings, identifying opportunities to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality or production timelines.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of chemical processes and formulations; familiarity with raw materials and supply chain dynamics
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong Negotiation Skills
- Proficient in material management systems, including MRP software; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Solid understanding of planning, forecasting, and overall supply chain operations.
