About Us

At Soap Opera Laundry, we’re redefining the laundromat experience by focusing on cleanliness, exceptional service, and a strong sense of community. We’re looking for a dedicated Weekend Laundry Staff Member who takes pride in their work and enjoys helping others.

Shifts: Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 9 AM – 6 PM (end-of-day duties may extend to 7 or 8 PM).

Job Overview

As a Weekend Laundry Staff Member, you’ll play a key role in keeping our laundromat running smoothly during peak hours. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming environment for everyone.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Assistance

• Greet and assist customers with loading and unloading laundry.
• Answer questions about machine use, detergent choices, and general guidance.
• Offer help when needed, including carrying laundry to and from vehicles.
• Ensure every customer feels welcomed and supported, especially first-time visitors.

Facility Cleaning & Maintenance

• Wipe down washers, dryers, soap compartments, and touchpoints after each use.
• Empty lint compartments regularly.
• Keep folding tables, seating areas, and high-traffic spaces clean throughout the day.
• Sweep and mop floors to maintain a safe and spotless environment.
• Check and clean restrooms regularly, restocking supplies as needed.

General Support

• Monitor machines to ensure proper use and prevent misuse.
• Restock supplies and maintain an organized work area.
• Ensure all areas remain clean, welcoming, and in top condition.

End-of-Shift Duties

• Complete a thorough closing routine, including mopping floors and a final walk-through to ensure the laundromat is ready for the next day.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
