Collections Specialist, Real Estate

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Collection Agent to join our team. To call and communicate with tenants who are behind on Rent

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing outstanding tenant accounts, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. This role requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of financial concepts, and the ability to navigate various accounting software.

Duties

• Contact tenants via phone and email to collect outstanding payments.
• Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions in the financial software.
• Perform account reconciliation to ensure all payments are accounted for.
• Utilize telemarketing skills to reach out to potential clients for payment arrangements.
• Apply knowledge of medical terminology when dealing with healthcare-related accounts.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the accounts payable department to ensure accurate billing processes.
• Stay informed about financial concepts and coding practices relevant to collections.

Requirements

• Proven experience in telemarketing or customer service roles.
• Strong phone etiquette and communication skills.
• Familiarity with accounting software and financial software applications.
• Knowledge of accounts payable processes and account reconciliation techniques.
• Understanding of financial concepts as they relate to collections.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple accounts effectively.
• Previous experience with medical terminology is a plus but not required.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
