The Deputy Director for Clinical Programs is a dynamic senior leadership role, overseeing clinical services across residential and non-residential locations. This position ensures the safety and well-being of veterans, particularly those with disabilities who are experiencing or exiting homelessness. Key responsibilities include staff supervision, clinical program oversight, and quality review, delivering comprehensive care to veterans in our housing programs and Service Centers in San Francisco and Oakland.
Our residential programs span six housing locations in San Francisco, offering case management and support to veterans dealing with mental health issues, complex medical needs, and substance use. Operating under a trauma-informed care model, we emphasize Harm Reduction and Housing First principles. Our non-residential programs, based in Service Centers in Oakland and San Francisco, provide mental health support, crisis intervention, and wraparound services such as legal assistance, employment services, financial management, and family support in addition to services provided offsite for veterans who are incarcerated.
As a key member of the Senior Management Team, the Deputy Director will lead clinical teams to ensure cohesive service delivery across the agency. This role will also contribute to strategic planning and the development of clinical services to meet the evolving needs of veterans, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care and support.
Some weeks this person can work 1 day/ week from home, subject to change.
Requirements
· Valid CA BBS License required (MFT, LCSW, LPCC) along with the ability to supervise BBS Interns
· Training and familiarity with treatment protocols for people with mental and behavioral health diagnoses
· Must maintain a valid Authorization to Write 5150/5585 Applications card in San Francisco City & County.
· Experience providing counseling and other services to underserved and marginalized communities
· Experience in managing community-based programs and providing clinical supervision to BBS registered Interns
· Experience in multi-disciplinary treatment planning, individual and group psychotherapy, substance abuse counseling and crisis intervention
· Experience in Medi-Cal billing
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
