Salary range: $85,000 - $95,000 per year
Primary purpose: Develops, sells, and executes industry support opportunities that drive revenue.
Responsibilities
Secure Industry Support
A. Collaborates across departments to develop sponsorship strategies that align to SCCM’s goals and initiatives, articulating the value proposition and negotiating agreements.
B. Develops and executes sponsorship and advertising opportunities for the Critical Care Congress and other events and initiatives.
C. Conducts market research and competitive analyses to identify trends and opportunities and make recommendations.
D. Develops budgets goals and revenue targets.
E. Manages accounts receivables related to sponsorship and advertising.
F. Manages relationships with third-party partners, including those selling external advertising opportunities.
G. Leads industry groups and develops opportunities to engage with industry partners on strategic priorities to ensure ongoing satisfaction, active engagement, and high retention rates.
H. Develops and presents custom opportunities to key clients and stakeholders.
I. Builds and maintains relationships with members and industry partners
J. Serves as the primary liaison between industry and internal SCCM staff, ensuring seamless activation and fulfillment of sponsorship and advertising agreements.
K. Works closely with the exhibits manager on activities pertaining to exhibition and in-kind activities.
L. Works closely with Education and Research departments on alignment strategies related to accredited education grants and sponsor-supported research grants.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum five years’ experience in sponsorship sales, business development, or a related role.
- Experience in a medical association or healthcare environment preferred.
- Demonstrated success in developing sponsorship portfolios, achieving revenue targets, and building strong, lasting relationships.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to concurrently manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce is an advantage.
