Now Hiring: Experienced Fund Formation Lawyer for In-House Role at Leading Asset Manager

Location : NY, NY

Compensation: $250,000-$300,000 bonus yearly equity grant

Are you a Fund Formation lawyer with at least 6 years of experience at a top law firm? Are you ready to transition to an in-house position with a leading asset management firm?

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Fund Formation Lawyer to join our client's dynamic in-house legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your Big Law experience and apply your expertise directly to the asset management industry.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Lead and support the structuring and formation of private equity (small amount of venture capital and hedge funds are fine also)

🔹 Draft, review, and negotiate key fund documents

🔹 Provide legal and strategic advice on regulatory compliance, fund structures, and fundraising processes

🔹 Work closely with senior leadership and investment teams to advise on legal issues related to investments and capital raising

🔹 Stay current with evolving regulations and industry best practices to ensure the firm’s operations are compliant and risk-managed

🔹 Manage relationships with external counsel and oversee legal due diligence for new fund launches and investments

Required Qualifications:

• 6-8 years years of experience in fund formation at a major law firm (Big Law or large company)
• Experience handling complex fund documents
• Knowledge of global regulatory environments and their impact on fund structuring
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with business leaders and other departments
• Ability to handle multiple, high-priority projects with a high level of independence
