JOB DESCRIPTION:
- The GSC Strategy &Business Operations (S&BO) Role is accountable for Driving the full slate of global supply chain ‘run the business’ and ‘change the business’ activities in alignment with our GSC strategic roadmap.
- Leading GSC-wide projects and initiatives such as yearly business calendar processes/deliverables, change management, communications, analytics, and performance across the GSC organization and all business pillars (delivery, customer partnership, E2E planning, clinical supply chain, process, and digital excellence)
- Drive data analytics and visualization strategy by collaborating with business partners to explore, process, and analyze data from diverse sources delivering actionable insights to key stakeholders.
- Conduct external benchmarking to ensure operational relevance and identify opportunities for process improvement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish, document, maintain, evolve, and facilitate the Global SupplyChain (GSC) standing governance, business processes, and best practices.
- Facilitate meetings using the GSC governance framework, setting agendas, priorities, and objectives. Understand and triage topics for discussion and alignment. Structure discussions to achieve quick decisions and robust outcomes.
- Drive simplification, standardization, and consistency of the strategic planning processes and related governance across GSC pillars.
- Identify and oversee the required processes and tools to evaluate performance and enable proactive data-driven risk detection and decision-making.
- Lead the development of GSC pillar metrics and measures that drive the identification of continuous improvement opportunities and ensure healthy business operations.
- In collaboration with cross-functional business and insights analytic partners, drive the development of dashboards and ensure consistency across GSC performance scorecards.
- Coordinate the identification, prioritization, and implementation of GSC initiatives to improve and ensure long-term organizational performance and process efficiency.
- Plan, manage, and lead projects and/or multifunctional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Continually assess GSC business processes with the mindset of continuous improvement as well as internal and external benchmarking.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and visualization, and bring innovative solutions for consideration.
- Creative Storytelling: Ability to transform complex ideas into clear, engaging, and visually appealing presentations.
- Define, prepare, and execute communication plans for GSC (in collaboration with pillar SBO leads) that include newsletters, town halls, face-to-face event preparations, and other cultural engagements.
- Ensure excellent stakeholder management within GSC as well as partners such as Finance, BI&A, Demand Planning, Human Resources, and IT (not exhaustive).
- Lead and facilitate a community of practice and hybrid/virtual centers of excellence for change and culture initiatives.
- Organize cultural and team-building events, activities, and workshops to promote collaboration, inclusivity, and a strong sense of belonging among employees.
- Develop and implement change management strategies and plans.
- Lead execution of change management activities by applying BMS methodology &tools to support adoption of project-related changes.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and programs aimed at fostering a positive work environment and enhancing employee satisfaction and morale.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree required in the supply chain, data analytics, life sciences, and/or business administration
- Advanced degree preferred. Strong Project Management capability skills, PMP preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4 years of experience in business operations, supply chain, data analytics, structuring analytical tools, and data visualization, preferably in pharmaceutical or related industries.
- Proficient with data science and analytics, modeling platforms, and visualization tools (e.g. SQL, Python, Tableau, Spotfire, PowerBi, Solvace); up-to-date on emerging technology and able to quickly adapt to new digital ways of working/systems.
- Excellent written and verbal executive-level communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and confidently to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to prioritize work with autonomy, and drive results under pressure, cultivate a growth mindset in others.
- Skilled in leading cross-functional, complex projects withhigh organizational impact; requiring enterprise stakeholder manager, leading and influencing activities and non-direct team members, leading across multiple sites, and workstreams globally.
- Excellent collaboration, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven critical thinking, analytical, and logic skills with a focus on fact-based decision-making.
- Financial management awareness and strong acumen - clear understanding and alignment on the business problem, value/return on investment, identifying critical stakeholders and team members, building project structure/approach, and creating robust execution plans
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, organized and able to prioritize execution activities to meet multiple deadlines in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
- Demonstrated learning agility and ability to inspire adaptability across the global supply chain.
- Proven track record of fostering innovation and creativity within a team or individual setting; Capable of bringing structure to vaguely defined problems while using creative yet pragmatic problem-solving approaches and execution management.
- Strong dedication to upholding and enhancing quality standards in work output.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in PowerPoint, including the use of animations, transitions, and multimedia elements.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This role may involve working in an office, laboratory, or manufacturing area.
Must be able to work in gowning attire within a controlled environment for extended periods.
Must demonstrate the ability to work safely with hazardous, radioactive, and biological materials and waste, ensuring safety both when working independently and with others.
Must be able to lift to 15 pounds as needed.
