We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer & Customer Order Intake Specialist to join our team. This dual-role position requires managing procurement activities while ensuring seamless order intake and processing for customers. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in purchasing, and excellent customer service abilities to facilitate smooth order operations and supplier relations.
Responsibilities:
Buying & Procurement:
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure cost-effective and quality materials or products.
- Monitor inventory levels and place purchase orders to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely deliveries and quality control.
- Track and manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with company policies.
- Work closely with internal teams (e.g., logistics, production, and sales) to align procurement with demand.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in the purchasing process.
- Handle supplier disputes, backorders, and delays, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
Customer Order Intake & Processing:
- Receive and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Verify order details, pricing, availability, and delivery timelines to ensure seamless fulfillment.
- Communicate order confirmations, delivery updates, and potential issues to customers in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate order fulfillment.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries or concerns related to order processing and delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of customer orders, invoices, and shipments.
- Support sales and customer service teams by providing order-related insights and updates.
