Job Overview
We are actively seeking a qualified Construction Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager to oversee daily preventive and corrective Quality Control activities on Federal construction projects for the government. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with quality standards and enhancing the efficiency of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Quality Control Plan for the project, adhering to the Army Corps Three Phases of Control.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure all submittals comply with contract specifications.
- Review project plans and specifications to verify that requirements are fulfilled for each construction process.
- Provide documented evaluations and guidance to staff and subcontractor personnel regarding Quality Control practices.
- Distribute inspection and test results to relevant agencies in a timely manner.
- Ensure that effective preventive and corrective actions are executed to eliminate or reduce issues.
- Facilitate pre-final inspections and establish punch lists as necessary, ensuring that all deficiencies are addressed.
- Coordinate and oversee final inspections with government contracting representatives and contractor personnel.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or a related field (preferred) or a minimum of 5 years of Quality Management experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction divisions and practices.
- Ability to interpret construction documentation including prints, plans, and procedures.
- OSHA 30 and CPR First Aid Training Certification or capability to obtain.
- Certification in Total Construction Quality Management for Contractors from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers or ability to secure before employment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- U.S. Citizenship required, with the ability to obtain security access and pass a drug test.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Management within the construction industry.
- Familiarity with HVAC, Boiler, and Mechanical Rooms is a plus.
