The Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Operations team delivers and supports the foundational technology that powers all core business functions. Role Overview

This Security Infrastructure Support Engineer role is part of a newly-formed second-level support group. The mission of this team is to reduce operational burden on engineering teams by owning cross-functional troubleshooting and resolution of complex infrastructure and application issues.

This role demands strong familiarity with enterprise security components including firewalls, proxies, and load balancers. It is ideal for engineers with a passion for deep technical diagnostics and continuous service improvement. You will work side-by-side with platform engineers, application teams, and infrastructure services to ensure seamless issue resolution.

Technical Focus Areas

- Firewall: CheckPoint (primary), familiarity with Cisco and Palo Alto

- Proxy: Broadcom ProxySG

- Load Balancer: NetScaler, F5

Experience Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent work experience

- 3 years in a technical support, infrastructure, or security operations role, preferably in large enterprise environments

- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting infrastructure issues across the application and network stack

- Familiarity with enterprise networking, security tools, and diagnostic techniques

- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, and related protocols

- Strong communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities

- Serve as a second-level support resource for infrastructure-related security issues

- Diagnose, triage, and resolve complex incidents involving firewalls, proxies, and load balancers

- Analyze logs, packet captures, and monitoring systems to identify root cause

- Partner with application owners and infrastructure teams to drive resolution

- Document incidents, lessons learned, and process improvements

- Actively contribute to knowledge base and troubleshooting playbooks

- Participate in platform readiness activities to support new service deployments

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience using CheckPoint SmartConsole, F5 iRules, NetScaler policies, and Broadcom policy tracing

- Familiarity with SIEM tools for event correlation (e.g., Splunk)

- Relevant certifications (e.g., CheckPoint CCSA/CCSE, F5 CTS, Security )
