Job Description
Job Title : Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Part Time
Job Specialty : Long-Term Care (LTC)

Experience : Minimum of 1 year experience as an LPN
License : LPN Licensure

Job Description :
- Perform direct and indirect designated resident care within the scope of practice as defined by certification, under the direction of licensed nursing personnel.
- Provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit, demonstrating knowledge of the growth and development principles of the lifespan.
- Assess and interpret data reflective of the patient's status to identify and meet age-specific needs.
- Meet residents' Activities of Daily Living (ADL) needs per the plan of care and in accordance with policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
- Maintain resident environment and safety as outlined in the plan of care, including promptly answering call lights and alarms, providing safety mats and low beds, and using restraints under nursing direction.
- Ensure residents' nutritional needs are met per the care plan, honoring resident's preferences and choices.
- Address residents' rehabilitative needs per the care plan, including range of motion, ambulation, transfers, and proper body alignment.
- Report residents' rights, refusals, and concerns to the Charge or Supervising Nurse in a timely manner. Report changes in resident's physical, emotional, and psychosocial status promptly.
- Prepare for potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, anticipating occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
