Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team in Topsfield, MA. In this full-time role, you will provide direct speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students based on treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP
- Assist in the creation and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Accurately document student progress and maintain thorough records
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success
- Participate in meetings and team evaluations to discuss student progress
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current Massachusetts SLPA license
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
