Position Summary:
SolidCAM is looking for an experienced Director of Sales for North America to lead, enable, and drive growth for the U.S. and Canadian Markets. This leadership position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer, North America. The role involves close collaboration with marketing, finance, and sales operations teams to build and sustain a high-performing sales operation and ensure successful customer engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Team Management: Oversee day-to-day activities of both direct and indirect sales teams across North America.
- Sales Pipeline Performance Management: Monitor and manage the sales pipeline (30, 60, and 90-day intervals), identify gaps, and implement recovery plans to meet business objectives.
- Forecasting ROI Management: Provide accurate quarterly forecasts, working closely with finance and analytics teams to ensure effective resource allocation and marketing ROI.
- Sales Training Onboarding: Lead onboarding of new sales resources and ensure all team members are trained and certified on SolidCAM products and policies.
- Sales Strategy Development: Actively contribute to the creation and refinement of sales strategy.
- Marketing Collaboration: Coordinate with the marketing team for the Go-To-Market (GTM) plan and execution.
- Customer Engagement: Be directly involved in managing and closing the region’s largest opportunities.
- Customer Care: Oversee Account Management (AM) customer care efforts, ensuring success and driving customer satisfaction.
- Reseller Support Oversight: Manage quarterly quota validation, sales strategy alignment, lead registration validation, and account assignments for resellers.
- Trade Show Engagement: Participate in planning and executing trade show activities.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in sales and/or sales leadership, ideally within the Computer-Aided Machining (CAM) software industry.
- Sales Expertise: Proven track record of success in sales, including pipeline development, conversion tracking, and achieving objectives.
- Leadership Skills: Strong team management skills with the ability to lead a dynamic sales team and coordinate across departments.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels in a fast-paced organization.
- Passion: Demonstrated passion for sales, coaching, and personal career development in the technology or manufacturing domain.
