Solugenix is assisting a client, in their search for an IT Support/Helpdesk Technician. This is a 9-12 month contract opportunity based out of Irvine, CA (Onsite).

We are seeking a temporary, entry-level IT Support Technician to provide technical assistance to end-users and support the organization's IT operations. The ideal candidate will have 1 years of experience in IT support, a solid foundation in networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills, the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users, and a "can-do , customer service-focused attitude.


Required Qualifications:

  • 1 years of experience providing IT support in a professional setting.
  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, subnetting, and routing.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues on both Windows and macOS platforms.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and user account management.
  • Proficiency in supporting IT hardware such as printers, VoIP phones, and peripherals.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Microsoft, Office 365, and Google Workspace Administrative.
  • CompTIA A or Network certification.
  • Familiarity with Cisco or Fortinet networking equipment.
  • Experience using RMM and Ticketing tools such as Syncro or ConnectWise.
  • Basic knowledge of backup technologies such as ArcServe, Datto, Veeam, etc.
Objectives of this Role:
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems with PCs, macOS devices, printers, and peripherals.
  • Perform basic routine maintenance, manage user accounts, and support Active Directory under the direction of the Senior Systems Administrator.
  • Support the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT equipment (must be able to lift to 40 lbs).
  • Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and procedures as directed by the Senior Systems Administrator.
Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate a strong foundation in networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, subnetting, routing, and switching, to assist with basic network troubleshooting.
  • Assist with setting up and maintaining networked printers and VoIP phones.
  • Provide exceptional interpersonal skills with a professional and polite demeanor to ensure effective collaboration across departments.
  • Proactively find and resolve issues that arise.
  • Ability to explain and resolve IT issues using patience and professionalism while assisting non-tech-savvy users.

Pay Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $35/hour to $40/hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
