Solugenix is assisting a client, a financial services company, in their search for a AWS Database Specialist. This is a 12-month contract opportunity based out of Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience with AWS database services and management.
- AWS Certified Database Specialty or related certification.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with database security best practices and compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS database solutions, including Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, DynamoDB, and Redshift.
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and configurations for improved efficiency.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and backup strategies are in place and regularly tested.
- Collaborate with development teams to create database schemas, stored procedures, and other database objects.
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions to ensure minimal downtime.
- Perform regular database maintenance, including updates, migrations, and scaling as needed.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to database architecture, procedures, and best practices.
- Stay current with AWS database services and industry trends to provide innovative solutions.
Pay Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $65/hour to $65/hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
