Job Summary:
The SSHO ensures a safe work environment for federal construction projects by implementing and enforcing safety protocols in compliance with OSHA and other federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement project-specific safety plans.
Conduct daily safety inspections and maintain safety logs.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations.
Lead safety training and toolbox talks for all personnel.
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Maintain required documentation for audits and federal reporting.
Act as the point of contact for all safety-related concerns.
Qualifications:
3 years of construction safety management experience on federal projects.
OSHA 30-hour certification (minimum); OSHA 500 preferred.
Current First Aid/CPR certification.
Strong knowledge of EM 385-1-1 and other federal safety standards.
Excellent observational and communication skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $29.46 - $32.02 per hour
