About Us: The mission of Soroptimist House of Hope, Inc. (SHOH) is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for women to receive individualized treatment and support to learn the life skills necessary to recover from substance use disorders and become life-long productive members of society.
Duties
- Aid residents requiring assistance dealing with substance abuse problems.
- Formulate program for treatment and rehabilitation of client, using knowledge of drug and alcohol abuse problems and counseling and treatment techniques.
- Advise clients individually and in group sessions to assist in overcoming alcohol and drug dependency.
- Closely observe and physically check each client receiving residential services hourly according to state protocols and document appropriately.
- Monitor clients’ medication and maintain logs documenting processes.
- Adhere to medication policies and procedures.
- Deliver assigned educational module groups and oversee structured activities.
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, copying, answering phones, etc.
- Maintain shift communication logs.
- Assist with and participate in all regularly scheduled social recovery activities and services occurring during an assigned shift.
- Attend and participate in mandated staff meetings and scheduled team meetings and trainings as required.
- Collect urine samples for testing.
- Maintain cleanliness of property
- Crisis intervention
- Assist, teach and/or supervise clients with general household chores, cleanliness and food preparation; clean up as required.
- Provide support in a professional, courteous, confidential, and timely manner to other employees or any other individual requiring assistance related to the essential functions of this position.
- Maintain the confidentiality of residents, employees, and the organization.
- Maintain professional relationships and observe the appropriate boundaries and limits with clients.
- Maintain appropriate attendance record.
- Understanding of ACA procedures and interventions used in keeping clients engaged in treatment.

- An understanding of the 12 Step process
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and privacy measures
- Knowledge and good use of boundaries with coworkers and clients
Required Qualifications:
- RADT and minimum of one year of experience in a human services setting.
- Clean DMV Record and/or accordance with program requirements.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Current certification in First Aid/CPR
- High School diploma, or GED equivalent
- Must be legally able to work in the United States.
