Job Responsibilities
With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Crafts-Farrow Campus, Physical Plant Services, 7901FarrowRd, Columbia, SC 29203.
As the Administrative Specialist II, you will greet customer services, answer telephone, take messages and sort mail. Accurately initiates, updates and closes out vehicle workorders. Maintains accountability of procurement card purchases, collects and separates receipts based on work orders and submits paperwork for processing. Maintains 100% accountability of work orders and invoices in accordance with SCDMH Retention Policy and prepares monthly reports as required.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
State Minimum Requirement: A high school diploma or GED.
Agency Minimum Requirement: Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.

Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
Additional Comments
The selected candidate needs one (I) year work experience involving MS Office Suite and database software, experience in customer service, creating and processing work orders, and invoicing. Must be able to sit, stand, squat, kneel, climb steps unassisted in order to perform duties and be able to lift 351bs. Offices are located in a Vehicle Management maintenance shop, which is exposed to loud noises and low-level environmental exposure to petroleum, oil, and lubricants.
