TRANSITIONAL SUPPORT SERVICES SUPERVISOR
STATEWIDE
Full time position based out of Columbia, SC, and will report to the Director of Community-Based Services. The South Carolina Youth Advocate Program (SCYAP) is seeking an individual who will be responsible for the oversight, management and adherence of all contract deliverables for SCYAP’s Transitional Support Services program and subcontractors to include but is not limited to: program management and performance evaluation, compliance monitoring, risk management, reporting and accountability, financial oversight, data collection and management, and referral oversight, and service delivery. The Transitional Support Services Supervisor will serve as a liaison between SCYAP and the Department of Social Services oversee the program designed to provide life skills planning and development, service navigation, and well-being supports for young adults who are exiting foster care.
Minimum qualifications: Master’s degree in the social services field and three (3) years of experience with children/youth services or a bachelor’s degree in the social services field and five (5) years of experience with of children/youth services. Previous experience in a supervisory capacity preferred. Knowledge of and/or ability to learn contractual standards, Medicaid standards, accreditation standards, and organization and program specific policies and procedures required. Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, process, and people management skills. Must have the ability to remain calm and exhibit tact in stressful and/or delicate situations. Must have the ability to handle confidential issues with discretion. Must be able to collect and analyze data and provide direct feedback and action regarding that analysis.
