We seek a skilled and enthusiastic educator well-versed in secondary science curriculums. The ideal candidate for the job should have profound knowledge of secondary science curriculums. They should have a strong understanding of the Next Generation Science Standards and framework. Additionally, the candidate should have experience in project-based learning or other flexible hands-on learning frameworks that support individual learning styles. The ideal candidate should be passionate about science education.
The CTE Summer Camp Pre-Planning Co-Curriculum Designer will develop, design, and / or identify a one-week CTE Summer Camp curriculum for middle school students. The designed curriculum will be implemented during the one-week 2025 CTE Summer Camp, scheduled from July 14, 2025, through July 18, 2024. The primary objective of the CTE Summer Camp program is to introduce STEM concepts and ignite curiosity in science exploration among students currently in 5th-7th grade.
The selected candidate will work 30 hours to meet the needs of this program and will be compensated at their per diem rate of pay, to be distributed on the July 2024 payroll. The tentative required commitment of hours is outlined as follows :
