Job Summary
Credit Manager
South Shore Landscape Supply is looking for a qualified Credit Manager. SSLS, located in Rockland, is a leading supplier of professional landscape and hardscape products for both commercial and residential projects. This is a full time, year round position and will include credit management as well as some aspects of A/R and A/P management.
Primary responsibilities:
· Work with current team to develop and improve existing credit policies
· Evaluate and approve credit applications/limits for new and existing customers
· Monitor/approve non-stock inventory purchases
· Manage the collections process, contacting customers, negotiating payment terms
· Work with sales team to resolve disputes/discrepancies related to invoices
· Regular analysis/reporting on accounts receivable to senior management
· Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to credit/collections
· Related accounts receivable and accounts payable duties
Qualifications:
· Bachelors Degree in accounting field or related experience
· 5 Years experience in AR, AP, Credit Management
· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft office Suite
· Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
· Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently and also with all levels of management
· Professional manner – this position interacts with customers, team members, vendors
