Position Summary:
Provide classroom supplemental support for migrant students, focusing on literacy skills and math computation/comprehension to grades 6-8 Middle School students. This position will include providing content, language and experiential learning in the classroom and community. Teachers need to commit to 3 days of planning (4 hours / day) and 5 weeks of instruction (4 days / week; 7.7 hours / day). The only absences that will be approved during this time are for illness. Hiring is dependent on enrollment.
Qualifications:
Valid MN Teaching License required. Bilingual skills in Spanish and experience serving underserved youth and strong Reading and/or English Language background desired. Current Owatonna Public School District employee preferred. Consistent and reliable attendance.
