SE!KIDS Operations Associate Indiana Campus
Part Time
The role of the Operations Associate is to serve our SE!KIDS team, volunteers and families by connecting and guiding their next steps with the vision and strategy of Southeast Christian Church. This person will Be the Branch while connecting to both new and existing SE!KIDS families by leading our First Impressions team and assisting in recruiting, clearing and training volunteers to Unleash the Full Potential of the Church.
Essential Functions
- Lead and develop First Impressions and Weekend Engagement volunteer teams
- Oversee efforts to follow-up with first time guests
- Assist in Family Dedication process and connect with families who participate
- Monitor hospital lists and death notifications; Coordinate with team to ensure we’re engaging and ministering to families in crisis; make visits as appropriate
- Process paperwork (applications, schedules, new volunteer packets, etc)
- Assist volunteers through the application, orientation and placement process
- Assist with special events (Family Dedication, Camp, etc.) for the ministry team
- Assist with administrative duties including ministry emails, calls, ordering team supplies, booking space in EMS, etc..
Essential Competencies
- Passion for ministering to families, especially those who are least connected
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a winsome personality
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & Outlook) and Rock (training provided)
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Quick thinking and confident decision-making
- Insight for the goals within the ministry
- Team player who understands support structure
- Displays empathy, warmth, leadership, and encouragement
- Ability to have a flexible schedule and oversee all weekend services
Required Education, Experience, and Membership
- Bachelor’s degree required
- At least two years of experience in children’s ministry and/or working with volunteers
- Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church, or willing to become one
