You will support program initiatives by leading partners through complex Request for Proposal technical reviews, Regulatory engagements, and audits. Explain key internal work processes, and vegetation management industry standards to internal and external partners at all levels of management.
Develop, implement, and lead outcomes of new vegetation management programs or processes.
Ensure corporate programs or objectives do not negatively impact Vegetation Management.
Find opportunities for potential Vegetation Management process and program improvement while ensuring all results align with corporate and departmental goals.
Lead in program and product testing to ensure that all programs and products being implemented meet the functional needs of the overall Vegetation Management program in support of corporate goals and expectations.
Write Business requirements for new programs and workflows by working with all relevant partners across the organization.
Advise management of Operational needs and educating the front-line departments of organizational standards, process, and performance.
Develop process direction for both Storm and normal operations by updating critical Vegetation Management processes which senior leadership will use to make strategic decisions.
The essentials
Seven or more years’ experience with Vegetation Management Operations.
Experience overseeing field operations and/or contractors.
Current certification as an arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture.
The preferred
Bachelors’ Degree.
Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) Qualified.
Experience in Utility Vegetation Management.
Experience supporting and implementing within an operational environment.
Self-motivated and driven to implement change.
Experience communicating vegetation management operations to various levels of management.
Experience influencing cross functional teams and broad range of partners.
Experience in a technology-focused role.
Geographic Information System (GIS) experience.
You should know
Work Mode: The position’s work mode is remote. Employee is able to work primarily at home or remote however, the employee may be expected to come to an SCE facility on occasion. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Hiring organizations can add further requirements related to specific jobs. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.

Position will require up to 10% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.

This position requires testing and applicants who are identified to continue through the selection process will be invited to test via email. Candidates who have previously passed these assessment(s), in some cases, may not need to retest again for this position.
