Overview
The Environmental Health & Safety Manager (Site EHS Manager) will maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly data metrics to report to onsite operations leadership and corporate leadership. Supporting site management efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate safety program expectations and applicable federal & state laws. The Site EHS Manager also conducts risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions under the direction of the Territory EHS Manager. In addition, the Site EHS Manager is responsible for recommending and inspiring change for the Operations Leadership through appropriate risk mitigation measures and safety data analysis.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities through the preforming of daily, weekly, and monthly audits
- Conduct incident investigations with the Operations Leadership
- Maintain required paperwork to comply with SGWS and OSHA regulations
- Enter required information in internal database in a timely manner
- Perform safety observations and audits
- Lead and act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Safety Committee
- Train and assist others (Managers/Supervisors, other safety team members, etc.) to complete their safety responsibilities (Audits, Follow Safety Rules, etc.)
- Perform safety training as required by the Territory EHS Manager, Regional EHS Manager, and VP of EHS
- Conduct fire prevention, hazardous waste management, or other safety related activities depending on the business unit and location
- Lead process improvement activities, lean principles, and manages actions to completion
- Communicate and influence change for health and safety needs to all levels of the organization
- Deliver and complete projects on time
- Other duties as required by the Territory EHS Manager, Regional EHS Manager, and VP of EHS
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's Degree a closely related field or a combination of education and experience
- First Aid, CPR & AED trained
- OSHA 10 General Industry. OSHA 30 General Industry preferred, or willing to secure within 1 year of hire date
- HAZWOPER 24 or HAZWOPER 40
Physical Demands
- Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine
- Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
Salary : $61,600 - $78,000
