Overview
Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, the preeminent distributor of beverage alcohol and Forbes 10th Largest Private Company in America is seeking an innovative and strategic Director of Internal Communications to build and lead a new center of excellence within our Internal Communications team. This position will report to and work closely with the Vice President of Communications & CSR to set the vision and infrastructure for enterprise-wide internal communications to support Southern Glazer’s business strategy and organizational culture. The Director will establish and lead a governance framework, champion high standards, and provide expert guidance to functional and market leaders. Additionally, this role will drive the development of consistent messaging across all platforms, lead the implementation of a new employee experience platform (EXP), support change management initiatives with strategic communications counsel, and enhance communication accessibility for our entire workforce, including our non-wired operations teams. This role offers a unique opportunity to build a transformative internal communications function at Southern Glazer’s, enabling alignment, engagement, and support for our employees across the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
Internal Communications Strategy and Governance :
- Establish a center of excellence to provide strategic direction for all internal communications activities and outcomes across the organization.
- Set up and lead an Internal Communications Governance Council to ensure alignment of messages, brand consistency, and engagement with Southern Glazer’s strategic goals.
- Create a champion network of communicators across functions and regions, fostering collaboration and promoting high-quality, impactful communication practices.
