Are you interested in connecting students with resources and reviewing student records to ensure all degree requirements are met at SIUE?
The Department of the Registrar is seeking an Admissions Records Officer to streamline the transfer process for current and prospective students. This role involves transcript evaluation, interpreting SIUE and IAI curricula, connecting students with resources, and supporting the Office of Admissions and Registrar.

What You Will Do
· Interpret SIUE course content, develop transfer credit procedures, and evaluate external credits for equivalency.
· Enter and assess external credit, prior learning, and other credit evaluations using systems like Student Information Systems, Degree Audit, and Argos.
· Maintain transfer credit resources, reviewing external/internal catalogs and syllabi.
· Advise students on transfer credit, military credit, degree progress, and university policies. Travel to other campuses as needed.
· Support students transitioning to SIUE with academic advising, course registration, scholarships, orientation, and more.
· Participate in special projects, training, and professional development opportunities.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Any one or combination totaling three (3) years (36 months) from the categories below:
o A) Course work in any discipline as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
60 semester hours or an Associate’s Degree equals eighteen months (18 months)
90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
120 semester hours or a Bachelor’s degree equals three (3) years (36 months)
o B) Work experience in administrative support, admissions and enrollment, customer service, public relations, records management, or closely related experience.

Illinois Residency Requirement: Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System, out-of-state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date for this position. Illinois residency requires proof of a valid Illinois Driver’s License or state of Illinois ID Card. Failure to produce the required documentation within 180 calendar days will result in immediate termination of employment.
